A heritage of character since 1962
Founded in the Limuru highlands by a priest and a schoolmaster, with a belief that character is taught as surely as mathematics.
Sixty years in the highlands
St. Anselm’s opened in 1962 with 52 boys, one brick building and a chapel still under construction. Girls joined in 1985, and the school has been co-educational ever since.
It remains a boarding school at heart. The traditions, house colours, chapel services and the walk to the playing fields at dawn, shape the pupils as much as the lessons do.
