From a Maternity Unit to a Specialist Hospital

Year 1
A 12-bed maternity unit opens on Muhoho Avenue, led by two obstetricians and six midwives.
Year 3
The paediatric outpatient clinic and 24/7 children’s emergency desk open.
Year 5
Our Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit opens, with neonatologists on site day and night.
Year 8
The South C flagship campus is accredited as a Level 5 specialist facility.
